Internship - Video Portfolio Management

6 months internship, starting in Q1 2018 (flexible).

SES is a world-leading satellite operator, providing reliable and secure satellite communications solutions to broadcast, telecom, corporate and government customers worldwide.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Products & Services Portfolio Management and Media Platform team in a fast-paced, growing organization within a dynamic and unique industry. Based in Luxembourg, you will contribute to identify and evaluate market opportunities for our global value added services (VAS) markets.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will have to familiarize with and understand the overall SES Value Added Services (VAS) and Video Market Solutions.
  • With the collaboration of Strategy & Market Intelligence, Business Development and Sales departments, you will assist the team in e.g. researching and interpreting market data on relevant product/service matters, summarizing company profiles and product capabilities.
  • General support to update intranet portals or other databases, to collect and analyze available data and requirements.

Your Profile

  • Being an advanced and current student in Media, Business, Economics or in a relevant technical area.
  • Strong interest in the media/telecommunication business. Rapidity in acquiring new knowledge.
  • Excellent analytical and judgment skills, attention to details is key.
  • Ability to set priorities and to work under tight deadlines.
  • Computer literate (MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Self-starter, work independently as well as in a team.
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills, easiness to communicate at all levels.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English with additional languages considered as an asset.
  • EU nationality or work permit.
