Internship - Financial Controlling & Budget Management

Luxembourg - Betzdorf

Context

Up to 6-month internship, starting early 2018

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Financial Controlling & Budget Management team in a fast-paced, global organization within an innovative and unique industry. Based in Luxembourg, you will contribute to day to day controlling activities as well as provide dedicated support to the development of the controlling tools in the company's ERP system.

Responsibilities

  • Support ongoing development of Financial Systems (SAP ERP, GRC and Reporting systems), with a focus on controlling related activities and processes
  • Participate in the preparation and review of monthly financial results as well as Budget 2018 including enhancement of tools and systems in support of each process
  • Support day to day financial control activities involving data analysis
  • Work as needed in cost and spend rationalization and activity based cost reviews

Experience / Qualifications

  • Being an advanced student in Finance/Accounting and IT (Bachelor's or Master's)
  • Knowledge of accounting and cost management principles
  • Strong computer literacy, with proficiency in MS Excel & solid ERP knowledge (SAP preferred)
  • Excellent analytical skills, experience with data analysis and database knowledge
  • High level of accuracy and attention to details
  • Ability to set priorities and to work under tight deadlines
  • Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to details
  • Drive to follow-through on task until completion
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, with French/German considered an asset
  • EU nationality or work permit for Luxembourg
  • Interest in the media/telecommunication business and technical interest in satellites
