Global Technical Steward - Oligonucleotides

Hundreds of molecules processed into oligonucleotides waiting for your expertise as Global Technical Steward.

As a Global Technical Steward you will provide specialist knowledge, as Subject Matter Expert (SME), for specific pharmaceutical processes or process technologies on the field of Oligonucleotides.

Your key responsibilities:
• Oversee unit operations, maintain and improve existing processes and standards, implementing new innovative manufacturing technologies across platforms
• Support Site Technical Stewards/Managers in developing and/or aligning fundamental knowledge in the specific area of expertise. In collaboration with Technical Stewards/Managers, ensures alignment and best practices in regular training and education programs provided to Process Experts and Operators
• Act as the platform SME for the interface with the Global MS&T network and with technical development organization to define and implement new technical standards for existing and new technologies and equipment
• Participate in selection of Process Equipment, through providing input to User Requirements
• Ensure that the necessary benchmark is done internally in Novartis and externally in the scientific and academic environment, in order to stimulate and extend the knowledge, increasing the know-how of the associates and expanding it to the rest of the organization
• Provides the necessary training and education on related Oligonucleotide products to Technical Stewards, Global Product Stewards and the rest of the MS&T team
• Maintain their work in inspection readiness level and provide the necessary support to sites in any internal or external audit

Minimum Requirements

What you'll bring to the role:
• MSc. in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemistry or equivalent scientific degree. PhD or equivalent experience desirable
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Oligonucleotides
• Proven process understanding (Pharma, GMP, Regulatory aspects)
• Business fluent in English
• Great communication skills, proactivity, self initiative
• Ability to operate in a global matrix environment
