In this role, the Director, US Commercial Consulting will play a key role, using experience and thought leadership, in driving the strategic direction of the Commercial Consulting and ultimately wider Field Force Operations team. Director, US Commercial Consulting will lead & run (potentially operationally) a team of Commercial Consulting Associates (based in East Hanover, Hyderabad, India and Mexico) to ensure CC consistently delivers high quality service, on time and to budget.
Responsibilities include:
o Leads the development of detailed regional, mainly North America based (Divisions, Global Functions, Commercial Excellence Teams, Business Franchises) business plan for Commercial Consulting for full year (market segmentation, account potential and identification of key stakeholders), and provides input to team revenue forecasting and budgeting process
o Demonstrates thought leadership in leading senior level discussions related to commercial or field force strategy in order to develop, advise and execute Commercial Consulting services via all relevant NGSCs
o Drives high customer satisfaction & delivers on the contribution and revenue projections for the region
o Mentors and guides Consultants in their region, ensure that they have the requisite support to meet and exceed upon their deliverables within defined Service Level Agreements, and is available to support wider Commercial Consulting team to meet their core objectives
o Proactively develops talent, managing, mentoring and providing career plans and succession plans to grow and retain internal talent base
o Drives and provides input into hiring/resourcing requirements for the team and conducts performance evaluations using key metrics where relevant
o Establishes, vigorously monitors and reports important metrics, and takes proactive action to continuously strive for improvement
o Works with extended Commercial team and other groups in East Hanover, NBS Dublin and Hyderabad (Forecasting, Business Analytics, Field force Operations etc.) to demonstrate any cross-functional commonalities.
The Director, US Commercial Consulting works closely with the Head of Commercial Consulting to drive the delivery of strategic business plan across the region that contributes towards the revenue internalization and customer satisfaction goals of Commercial Consulting team in the all service areas, such as:
Commercial strategy design
• New launch / indication expansion Go-to-Market, BD&L or field force reorg
• Segmentation & targeting
• Role design
• Field force structuring and sizing
Field strategy implementation
• Territorial structure design & personnel placement
• Incentive plan & goal setting design
• Call plan design
Ad-hoc commercial projects based on local business challenges identified through assessments and / or benchmarking

Minimum requirements
Minimum requirements :
Education (minimum/ desirable): Bachelor's Degree - MBA with Graduate/Post Graduate in Life Sciences Pharmacy/ Medicine/Science or related fields / MDs/MS/MPH preferred.
Experience:
• Overall 7+ years of experience in senior commercial position.
• 2+ years in Sales Force Effectiveness.
• Confirmed background as a consultant or in a consultant role.
• Experience in working in a matrix and geographically dispersed environment.
• Ability to engage senior partners and influence strategic decision-making
• Confirmed problem-solving skills to identify customer issues and deliver solutions
• Familiarity with Service Level Agreements, quality critical metrics and management of operational issues.
• Proven understanding of US healthcare landscape, data and sales operational processes (desirable).
