Responsible for leading the overall relationship and entire book of business for an assigned group of vendor(s) accounts that are providing services for hub, co-pay, adherence, free goods, digital, etc. to the Patient & Specialty Services organization. This individual will need to combine expertise in account management, patient program design and execution, collaboration, negotiation and forward thinking in order to enhance delivery of and catalyze innovation in the key categories above. This role will also contribute to the overall Patient & Specialty Services organization's capacity to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of their practices, partnerships and programs for a better customer/patient experience
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
•Develop and implement strategic account plans for vendors that align to key business objectives including compliance, reliability, service and cost
•Effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders to develop solutions that improve the end-to-end value of the partnership and innovation in areas related to:
o Assessment - current & planned vendor capabilities relative to NVS strategies and objectives, strategic roadmaps, performance, account spend, etc.
o Contract evaluation & negotiation - MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, payment terms, etc.
o Performance management - establish KPIs, lead portfolio level QBRs, manage escalations & facilitate corrective action plans, etc.
o Program implementation - program design, governance, develop project milestones, SOPs, etc.
•Bring innovation to the business and ensure launch excellence across programs, vendors and services
o Build and maintain relationships throughout PSS & Novartis to stay abreast of current and future needs, strategies and objectives
o Benchmark current and potential vendors to identify improvements and innovative service offerings; develop recommendations & proposals for potential partnerships, as applicable lead the RFP process
o Contribute to the development and maintenance of organizational best practices that can be leveraged across vendors

What you'll bring to the role:
Education: Bachelor's Degree is required (preferably in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Business related discipline), advanced degree strongly preferred
•8+ years of systems or vendor experience, preferable with some direct pharmaceutical experience in patient services
•5+ years of account management experience
•Experience in system and / or vendor transitions including all aspects of developing strategy and design to execution
•Strong planning and organization, communication and problem solving skills.
•Ability to influence others without authority/leadership
•Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally within and across regional and HQ functions (e.g. Finance, Marketing, USMM)
•Demonstrated experience analyzing complex situation and processes and effectively integrating and synthesizing the data to form a complete cohesive picture
•Demonstrated ability to synthesize information to develop recommendations, and ability to persuade / influence organization pursuit of recommended path
•Customer focused with ability to develop long-term relationships with customers and gain their trust and respect.
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to relay financial information to non-finance groups.
•Travel as required
•2+ years with finance & Procurement activities experience
•Experience with specialty products
•Novartis product and competitive product knowledge
•Knowledgeable about Legislative landscape - Federal and State
•Knowledgeable about Legal issues & Safe Harbors related to Finance, Competition, Reimbursement, Discount & MSAs
