Web Software Engineer 2/3 (jr.-mid) - (Ability to obtain clearance)
Northrop Grumman M Systems Sector/ Integrated Intelligence business unit is seeking a junior to mid-level software developer for a program that provides large scale development, testing, deployment and O&M for the HUMINT community. The successful candidate will take part in a full life cycle development of components using COTS, GOTS, and various in-house applications. The individual will work with members of a diverse project team and participate in the overall design and creation of web-based and other software applications and must possess excellent communication skills.
The ideal candidate may provide front end development working within a small agile team. Translate the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. Work with UI/UX designers and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation and support critical business functions through development, implementation, and maintenance of web front ends.
This position is located in Herndon, VA.
This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3.
Level 2 Engineer: A minimum of 2 years experience is required with a Bachelors degree, 0 years with a Masters degree, 6 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Level 3 Engineer: A minimum of 5 years experience is required with a Bachelors degree, 3 years with a Masters degree, 9 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. Candidate may also be required to successfully complete a Polygraph.
Ability to translate UI/UX design wireframes to actual code
Ability to design, code, test, debug, maintain, and document web front end customizations.
Ability to support critical business functions through the development, implementation, and maintenance of web front ends, including adaptation of open source libraries to meet the business requirements.
Experience with JS Unit Test frameworks.
Experience with RESTful API consumption and design.
Experience in working with version control systems, including Git .
