Web Software Developer 2/3

Northrop Grumman is seeking a computer scientist or web designer to aid in front end development, data management, and analytic integration. The desired individual will have experience in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and Java with an eagerness to learn new coding languages and solve complex problems using logical reasoning and communication skills. This position will be based at our LCS office in Albuquerque, NM.

Roles and Responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute needed skills to ongoing projects for both front end and back end support of data analysis
  • Complete web development and modify existing web interfaces
  • Learn new programing languages and software skills required to fulfill the program goals
  • Contribute to the development and writing of technical documentation of how methods were developed
  • Cross train in other areas to support additional roles as needs arise

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below

Minimum Qualifications

  • This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3. Basic Qualifications for a Web Software Developer 2 are 2 years with a Bachelor's Degree OR 6 years in lieu of degree. Basic Qualifications for a Web Software Developer 3 are Bachelor's Degree with 5 years experience OR 9 years in lieu of degree.
  • HTML5 / CSS3 / Responsive Web Design (Bootstrap) experience
  • Experience programming in OOP languages such as JavaScript, Java, C#, C
  • Experience programming in front-end development frameworks, including Angular JS or Sencha ExtJS
  • Experience with scripting languages such as PHP
  • Experience in database design and SQL
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to rapidly develop a diverse skillset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior work experience on development teams
  • Understanding of the Agile development process
  • Experience using a statistical programming language such as R, Python, or Scala
  • Experience with accessing standard database formats (SQL, MongoDB, etc.)
