Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a front-end software developer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located at Annapolis Junction, MD.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Work as a member of a small team developing secure web applications on Linux. This is a new effort so responsibilities will include helping the team to understand requirements, choosing technologies and then designing, implementing and testing the software.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

This requisition may be filled at either a Level 2 or a Level 3.

BQ's for a Software Engineer Level 2 are:
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a software engineer supporting software architecture development, requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools, and integration (with both new and legacy systems)
Minimum of 2 years web development experience
Experience with JAVA and JavaScript
Experience in developing secure applications on Linux (i.e. with authentication and access controls and evidenced in work experience)
Knowledge of web application concepts
Familiarity with Agile Development is preferred

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with C++
Front end experience in the following - Angular.js, Backbone.js or similar client side JavaScript frame works
Experience with RUBY

BQ's for a Software Engineer Level 3 are:
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a software engineer supporting software architecture development, requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools, and integration (with both new and legacy systems)
Minimum of 2 years web development experience
Experience with JAVA and JavaScript
Experience in developing secure applications on Linux (i.e. with authentication and access controls and evidenced in work experience)
Knowledge of web application concepts
Familiarity with Agile Development is preferred

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with C++
Front end experience in the following - Angular.js, Backbone.js or similar client side JavaScript frame works
Experience with RUBY

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Security Clearance: An active TS/SCIclearance with polygraph is Required.
