Northrop Grumman's Manned Aircraft Design Center of Excellence located in Melbourne Florida has an immediate opening foran engineer specializing in aircraft subsystems.These subsystems include, but are not limited to, Environmental Control Systems, Fuel Systems, and Hydraulic Systems. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to architect, develop, analyze, modify, test and trouble-shoot aircraft subsystems. In addition, the successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to manage suppliers engaged in the development of aircraft subsystem hardware, and demonstrated team leadership abilities. Demonstrated ability to perform subsystem analysis and prepare build-to packages utilizing 3D modeling software is a plus.

This position will bepermanently located in Melbourne, FL. Some travel is required.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree is Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited universitywith a minimum of2 years' experience directly related to aircraft fluid subsystem development.
Engineering team leadership and supplier managementexperience.
Experience with AMESim, NX Thermal, Matlab/Simulink, NX, TeamCenter.
Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications plus a Master of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or Technical Management, or an MBA, as well as proven supplier management skills in an aircraft subsystem development environment as well as demonstrated ability to perform subsystem analysis and prepare build-to packages utilizing 3D modeling software.
