The selected candidate will become a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT), operating in a multidisciplinary engineering environment. Responsibilities include structural design utilizing CATIA V5 or NX 3D CAD system to develop parametric solids for conceptual layouts, parts, assemblies and installations. Design activities will involve the use of metallic and composite materials in highly loaded conditions with close tolerance requirements. Key skills necessary to support the IPT will be a superior technical aptitude, a proactive approach to solving problems and the ability to be a team player.
Candidates must be a new or recent graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) program. Must be eligible to obtain and retain a DoD secret clearance or Special Access Clearance.
Strong preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink. Preference is given to candidates with some experience in spacecraft or aircraft structures design. Current Active Clearance. A 3.7 GPA is preferred.
