Test Program Set (TPS) - Hardware Design Engineer 2/3

The Test Program Set Engineer will work independently and as a team leader to design/develop interface test adapters, cabling, automated software test programs, test consoles (containing multi-application stimulus and measurement equipment) and all associated documentation in

support of test for a variety of avionics subassemblies and systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Full Cycle test system design from requirements analysis to hardware/software design
  • Supporting Manufacturing flow and test and integration
  • Support of the systems in production and depot test environments

This benchmark is intended to be used by companies that have generic classifications engaged in research and/or product development encompassing primarily one or more of the following engineering disciplines: electronics, electrical, mechanical, and/or chemical.

Basic Qualifications for a Band 2:

  • B.S in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience
  • Must have previous Hardware and Software experience
  • Hardware skills to include experience in electronics packaging and cable design
  • Software skills to include experience with C/C Programming

Basic Qualification for a Band 3:

  • B.S. in Engineering with minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience or 3 years with a Master's degree
  • Must have previous Hardware and Software experience
  • Hardware skills to include experience in electronics packaging and cable design
  • Software skills to include experience with C/C Programming

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) design and Automated Test Equipment (ATE) plus PWB design and layout
  • Proficient with Lab Windows/CVI and MATLAB
