Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector in Azusa, CA is seeking a Test Engineering Manager 1. Supervisory or management responsibilities for more than one functional area in the Test Engineering department. The Test Facility Support manager 1 position is responsible for supervising hourly union employees in an electronic manufacturing and test environment working to Space simulation testing requirements. This position plans and assigns work and coordinates hardware movement in the test areas. The ideal candidate has experience supervising in a manufacturing and test environment. This individual works with Program Leads, Design, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineers and Production Control to resolve production related issues. Manager upholds policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, and operating procedures; chairs team meetings; works with the union chief steward to resolve union employee issues. Provides production metrics to management including planned accomplishments versus actual completions.
