Test Engineer 3

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Test Engineer 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located at Columbia, MD.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The candidate will contribute to the project by providing testing support to the software and system development effort of the Next Generation architecture. The successful candidate will participate in system and component testing activities using both manual and automated testing and be capable of contributing to the project on day 1. This includes both developing and executing test cases.

Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in test engineering of modern hardware/software systems.
5+ years of requirements analysis experience and in particular must be fully trained or have experience in the testing of systems at the component, integration, system, and end-to-end levels.

Education: A Bachelor's Degree in a technical field may be substituted for two (2) years experience. A Master's degree in a Technical Field will be considered equivalent to four (4) years experience.

Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in the development and implementation of test strategies, plans, traceability matrices, procedures, and reports.
Experience in writing test cases and writing discrepancy reports.
Experience in evaluating project needs, determining tasks and durations and allocating resources.
Experience with Basic UNIX or Windows commands and a basic understanding of capturing snapshots.
