Test Engineer 2- Sykesville, MD

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Division seeks a Test Engineer 2 to work at our Sykesville, MD location.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.

Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.

Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed.

Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.

Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.

Monitor test related activities to assure that the required quality levels are maintained both in-house and at vendor's sites.

Monitor component failures for trends and initiate investigative action when a trend has been identified.

Will review new test procedures for imposed quality requirements.

Perform first piece verification on new test procedures and certify new test tooling. Review test data for completeness and accuracy.

Investigate test equipment out of tolerance conditions and implement corrective actions if necessary.

Work with test technicians and manufacturing to evaluate issues for compliance to contract requirements.

Evaluate and interpret customer contracts, government standards, military specifications and commercial standards.


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or other technical discipline.

3 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 0 years of related experience with a Master's degree.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Confidential Clearance.referred Qualifications:

Possess Department of Defense (DoD) Confidential clearance.
