Oversees the operational aspects of engineering tests and serves as liaison to program, engineering and line management. Reviews status of test requirements, manages schedules and prepares reports. Selects and supervises technicians during test. Assesses anomalies and develops resolutions to documented procedures in conjunction with Test and Quality Engineering.

Position Summary / Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills and Ability
Complete understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines.

Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.

Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.

Liaison
Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.

Basic Qualifications:
5+ Years in Engineering with a Bachelor's degree inScience, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM), OR

    • 3+ years with Masters in STEM, OR
    • 9 years of exempt experience in Engineering, Test or as a Test Conductor will be considered in lieu of a STEM degree
  • Current Department of Defense Top Secret clearance required to start
  • Must be able to obtain access to a Special Access Program.
  • Ability and willingness to work non-standard shifts/overtime and travel for repeated short periods is essential.


Preferred Qualifications:
Test experience of multiple disciplines, to include control room monitoring. Previous qualification as a Test Conductor.
Current Top Secret or SCI clearances.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Demonstrated mentoring and coaching skills.
* Excellent communications skills, including the ability to brief test results to executive leadership.
