Technician 2

Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

Basic Qualifications:

AA or other 2 year technical degree related discipline and 1 year of related experience (technical trade school, Military technical training, or Electronics training equivalent with at least 2 years experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Ability to preform routine operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications and troubleshooting of any failed systems
  • Intermediate Mechanical build experience required

Experience working in a production environment is desired

  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors of Science preferred.

J-STD-001 Certification: Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies

IPC/WHMA-A-620-B Certification: Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies

Test military radios and communications terminals such as PRC-117, PSC-5, ARC-210, SADL, and MIDS LVT1/2/4/11

Engineering design, CAD and 3D modeling (Solid Works), Lab View, and MATLAB
