Technical Editor and Writer 4 (Palmdale)

Northrop Grumman is looking for a well qualified Technical Editor and Writer 4 to support Palmdale site. The role and responsibilities include but not limited to: Writes, rewrites and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences. Acquires subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals. Oversees preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts. Conducts quality review of materials.Basic Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years experience with Bachelors degree in developing maintenance manuals and or aircraft maintenance experience, 8 Years experience with Masters. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree. Active Secret security clearance with periodic review conducted less than 5 years. Must be able to obtain and maintain program access.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using Arbor text. Experience in developing aircraft maintenance manuals. Active Secret with active B-2 Program Access.
