Talent Advisor 3/4 - CO

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Professional Development Program Advisor to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position may be located in Aurora Colorado, CO or Colorado Springs, CO.

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems’ Talent Pipeline Development (TPD) organization – a group of individuals dedicated to developing high performing, diverse new grad talent. An important part of TPD’s mission is the Professional Development Program (PDP), which is a program designed to provide new college hires an opportunity to experience multiple rotations in the core areas of the business so they develop a solid foundation for a successful career. PDP participants are also provided with professional development and networking opportunities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide regular coaching and feedback to PDP participants, with an emphasis on assimilation to the workplace, career exploration, and professional development
  • Contribute to program strategy and help to execute multiple events for PDP participants nationwide
  • Support strong business-partner relationships with peers and stakeholders at all levels (including Human Resources and functional and technical leadership)
  • Manage onboarding activities
  • Maintain and facilitate PDP Rotation Manager training, ensuring managers have the tools needed to create and manage meaningful rotations
  • Work with peers in other Northrop Grumman sectors to facilitate cross-sector rotations where appropriate
  • Support the PDP Community of Practice
  • Support the strategic objectives of the PDP program for employee development and sector growth

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:

  • Bachelors’ degree and 6 years of professional experience (4 years with a Masters’ degree)
  • Ability to provide career development guidance to new college graduates pursuing technical and non-technical career paths
  • Ability to support strategic partnerships with business stakeholders
  • Ability to contribute effectively in a virtual/geographically-dispersed team
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) including ability to deliver large group presentations
  • Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance

Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • Bachelors’ degree and 10 years of professional experience (8 years with a Masters’ degree)
  • Ability to provide career development guidance to new college graduates pursuing technical and non-technical career paths
  • Ability to support strategic partnerships with business stakeholders
  • Ability to contribute effectively in a virtual/geographically-dispersed team
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) including ability to deliver large group presentations
  • Able to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Experience in early-career coaching
  • Understanding of people-management in a matrixed organization
  • Active DOD Secret Clearance

Travel up to 25% of the time.
