Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Systems Test Engineer 5to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be located in El Segundo, California.

GBSD EMD Ground Based Strategic Deterrent Engineering Manufacturing Development Proposal needs a System Test Engineer to work with the TMRR Technology Maturation Risk Reduction baseline documentation to create competitive CDRL products for the proposal. Candidates need to have experience with System Test in the pre-Preliminary Design Review (pre-PDR) phase and working large competitive proposals. ICBM (Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile) experience a plus.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 14 years of related experience; or a MS in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience
  • Knowledge and experience in planning, designing, procuring, and operating the computers, test sets, test stations and test lines of a System Integration Laboratory (SIL)
  • Knowledge and experience in planning the facility needed to house a SIL, preparing notional floor layouts of the SIL
  • Experience working with Facilities and Contractors to build a SIL
  • Experience in managing the portion of an Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) related to SIL Non-Contract Technical Activities (NCTA), Independent Research and Development (IR&D), Overhead Process Maturity (OPM), and Capital activities
  • Cost Account Management (CAM) experience for Capital funding
  • Active and In-Scope DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • ICBM (Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile) experience a plus.
