Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Systems Test Engineer 5 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.

Essential Functions:

  • Familiar with the review process for developing, executing, and reporting on test results for Contractor Qualification Tests (CQT's), Subsystem Level Testing, System Verification Acceptance Test (SVAT's), and System Level Verification Tests (SLPV's)
  • Developing Basis of Cost Estimates (BOE's) for Test and Evaluation Department on proposal estimates
  • Reviewing Test and Evaluation Time Card data to generate metrics for BOE's based on verifying spec requirements and software requirements
  • Support RFP efforts in estimating cost, generating planning schedules, determining man loading, and evaluating required Contractor/Government test equipment support (ranges, GFE, personnel)
  • Manage/guide test team personnel in successfully developing, executing, and reporting on program test objectives
  • Meet, coordinate, and review with Government and Program management on cost and schedule status Cost Account Management

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 14 years of test and/or integration engineering experience OR
  • Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 12 years of test and/or integration engineering experience OR
  • PhD Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of test and/or integration engineering experience
  • Demonstrated experience with design, development, and/or test of Radar systems
  • Demonstrated experience with the review process for developing, executing, and reporting on test results such as Contractor Qualification Tests (CQT's), Subsystem Level Testing, System Verification Acceptance Test (SVAT's), and/or System Level Verification Tests (SLPV's)
  • A current DoD Interim Secret level security clearance (or higher)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A current DoD Secret or Top Secret/SCI level security clearance, to include a Single Scope Background Investigation, a periodic reinvestigation, or an original adjudication date completed within the last 6 years
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with Radar system modeling using software such as MATLAB
  • Signal processing experience
  • Experience working on military aircraft
  • Experience supporting RFP's
  • Previous management and/or lead experience
  • Customer interfacing experience
  • Previous Cost Account Management (CAM) experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
