Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Systems Test Engineer 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.

Essential Functions:

  • Cyber Security maintenance on all program systems (both computing and networking). Includes researching, applying, and troubleshooting security and related updates
  • Implementation and testing of security applications, patches, and controls
  • Integration and testing of hardware and software, including legacy upgrades and new equipment
  • Assist in performing OS upgrades
  • Assist in configuring and updating anti-virus applications
  • Performing vulnerability assessments and remediation
  • Analysis and implementation of security controls per government™s RMF
  • Procedure development and modification
  • Maintain unclassified and classified virtual environment using VMWare ESXi. These virtual environments consist of various operating systems: Windows/Linux
  • Proficient in Red Hat Linux and the ability to obtain and maintain DoD 8570 Certification in Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor™s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of systems test engineering experience OR
  • Master™s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university
  • Must have professional Linux OS administration experience
  • A current Interim DoD Secret clearance or higher

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A current DoD Secret or Top Secret/SCI level security clearance, to include a Single Scope Background Investigation, a periodic reinvestigation, or an original adjudication date completed within the last 6 years
  • Bachelor™s or Master™s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • 8570 Government Level One Certifications that include: Security+, GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA-Security certification CISSP, CISA, GCIH, GCED, CASP, A+, Server+, Network+, CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, VMWARE, or RHCE
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Direct experience with DoD Cyber test activities, security processes, and documentation/reporting using DIACAP, NISPOM, or RMF, NIST, CNSSI guidance as required
  • Experience with the Risk Management Framework (NIST SP 800-53)
  • Experience with applying RMF on DoD systems (DoDi 8500.01 Cybersecurity)
  • Experience using Tenable Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
