Systems Test Engineer 1 (UNIX engineering)
Engineer System Test 1 Special Programs will provide hardware\software troubleshooting, maintenance and integration solutions to optimize lab operations and infrastructure. This individual will support a group of Software Engineers and facilitate their developmental environment.
The principle duties include working as part of a team on various lab development projects. The expectation is that the hired candidate will:
1) Troubleshoot anomalies
2) Perform system, subsystem, LRU troubleshooting and repair
3) Must be able to work in a structured process orientated environment and track configuration management of hardware, and software
4) Support the integration, installation, test, and documentation of new and existing capabilities
5) Software installation
Bachelor’s Degree in related engineering field
Ability to obtain and maintain DOD Top Secret Clearance required
The ideal candidate should be familiar with Solaris and Windows operating systems. Having general knowledge of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, digital multi-meter, and basic understanding of Cisco Networks is also a plus.
