Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Systems Engineer/ Principal Systems Engineer to its team. This position is in Roy, UT and will support the ICBM Sustainment program.
What you will get to do:
As a member of the ICBM-S assessment team, you will get to:
Develop innovative approaches to analyzing weapon system data with statistics and data analysis to help sustain and maintain the Minuteman III (MMIII) weapon system
Analyze failure and performance data across ICBM subsystems
Develop engaging visualizations and reports to show MMIII data trends and results
Prepare presentations and reports to brief Northrop Grumman and Air Force leadership on the status of weapon system assessment and risks
Participate and lead risk management of weapon system parts and subsystems
Dynamically engage with AF customers to meet their needs and provide them with needed insight for sustainment of the ICBM weapon system

This position's standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
This position may be hired at the System Engineer or Principal Systems Engineer levels depending upon applicant qualifications.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Systems Engineer (level 2): Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience with bachelor's degree, or 0 years of experience with master's degree
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
1 year of experience in Air Force or other DoD weapon system sustainment enterprise
1 year of experience with data analytics, automation, or coding
6 months of experience with ICBM, Aerospace, or DoD program that demonstrates leadership, interpersonal skills, and written/verbal communication skills
Principal Systems Engineer (level 3): Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience with bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience with master's degree, 1 year of experience with PhD
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
2 years of experience in Air Force or other DoD weapon system sustainment enterprise

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
