The Communications Division, Resilient Network Solutions (RNS) Operating Unit at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Systems Engineer to support various RNS programsbased out of San Diego, CA.
What You'll get to Do:
The E-6B MR-TCDL program at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Program Chief Engineer (Systems Engineer 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA. Transforming the future of technology, Northrop Grumman Corporation is a leader in the Defense industry, developing and delivering quality products that help ensure the safety and freedom of this nation and its allies. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Engineering, Sciences & Technology organization, responsible for team leadership in innovative detail design ranging from chassis to aircraft payload, as well as the analysis necessary to satisfy program requirements.
Roles and responsibilities include:
Provide leadership and direction for engineers and logistics teams.
Conduct regular briefing to program management and engineering management.
Daily interactions and status with customer counterparts.
Develop and administer budgets, schedules and performance standards. Work with CAM and scheduler to identify program performance metrics on weekly basis.
Administer tasking as defined in Statement of Work (SOW).
Technical Lead for proposal efforts to include, but not limited to technical understanding of product, development of Technical Volume, Basis of Estimates (BOEs), Input to IMS & PBPs, development of Subcontractor SOW, conduct Technical Evaluations of subcontractor proposals, baselining, etc.
Technical Lead for oversight of multiple suppliers to include tasking, progress management, analysis, deliveries, etc.
Oversight of system installation, ground test and flight test at customer site.
Oversight of CDRL development to include user/maintainer manuals and installation guides/drawings.
Oversight of Peculiar Support Equipment development and delivery
Oversight of multiple kit procurement and build (interface with Production and Global Supply Chain, Quality, Item Management, Logistics, DCMA and WAWF DD-250 coordination).

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a traditional STEM discipline from an accredited institution
Engineering Experience: 9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; or 4 Years with PhD
Active DoD Secret clearance
Strong technical writing and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and within groups.
These Qualifications Would be Nice To Have:
- Aerospace, aircraft systems and testing experience
- Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products
