Systems Analyst 2/3

Northrop GrummanMission Systems is seeking a Mobile Processing Systems Analyst to work in our Aurora, CO office. Theanalyst will perform system design, specification development, solution selection, procurement, system integration, deployment, test and maintenance of mobile, deployable systems ranging in profile from 20' to 40' platforms (i.e., military-type shipping container conversions). The candidate should have demonstrated experience with set up and operation of mobile tactical systems. The candidate should have demonstrated experience with all physical aspects of mobile tactical solutions including power, HVAC, communications, interior layout, security concerns and transport.
The candidate should be able to support engineering business rhythms (review boards, change control processes, etc.) in the context of a large Program.
The candidate is expected to operate independently with little oversight in a dynamic environment, to be highly self-motivated. The individual is expected to handle diverse assignments with efficiency, finding unique solutions and working in a very collaborative and fast-paced environment.

This requisition may be filled at a higher job grade based on the qualifications listed below.
This requisition may be filled as either a level 2 or a level 3.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:

  • H.S. diploma or GED and 5+ years work experience in the required domain or comparable active duty military experience in a technical domain relevant to the requirements.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Previous hands-on experience with mobile tactical systems of varying sizes
  • Experience in the power and electrical domain
  • Creative problem solving abilities with hardware, mechanical and electronic systems
  • Experience in complex system assessment/analysis with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong business computer application skills including the MS Office suite, Outlook
  • Strong oral and written skills
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Familiarity with Windows, and/or Linux operating systems

  • Creative problem solving abilities with hardware, mechanical and electronic systems
  • Experience in complex system assessment/analysis with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong business computer application skills including the MS Office suite, Outlook
  • Strong oral and written skills
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Familiarity with Windows, and/or Linux operating systems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • B.S. in electrical engineering or related technical degree
  • Experience with mobile systems integrating collapsible satcom antenna hardware
  • Experience with testing and troubleshooting electrical and software systems
  • Experience with precision timing solutions
  • Experience with civil construction concepts associated with implementation of a large antenna system
  • Experience with fiber optics, encompassing RF over fiber and traditional networked fiber
  • Experience with a range of IT solutions including servers, switches, operating systems
  • Project management experience
