Systems Administrator 3 or 4

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a highly qualified, motivated, and technically talentedSystems Administrator 3 or 4to join our team of diverse and extremely qualified professionals who is pursuing the rewards of maintaining innovative and complex systems. This position is located in Aurora, CO offering opportunities for both individual activities and collaborative efforts in support of complex systems. Qualified candidates must be able to work independently in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

The System Maintainer (SM) team requires an individual with cyber or computer system security experience on Windows or Linux platforms who can work in a structured configuration controlled environment, primarily focused on the support and maintenance of real-time system applications on an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contract. Qualified candidates will be responsible for evaluating platform level problems and providing immediate solutions to restore service.

Principal duties include:

  • Serve as technical resource within the SM Department with some exposure to customer interface
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision to prioritize tasks
  • Perform updates and patching of computer system
  • Configure, administer and maintain computer systems (Such as: Windows 7, Windows 10, Server 2008 R2, Server 2012R2, Server 2016, Active Directory, RedHat Enterprise Linux)
  • Configure, administer, and maintain patch deployment and management system
  • Provide patch management status reporting to management
  • Configure, monitor, maintain, and administer computer backup and recovery solution
  • Provide backup and recovery status reporting to management
  • Make recommendations for solutions to technical problems (e.g. product selection recommendations)
  • Support Engineering end user desktop environment

Basic Qualifications:

BQs for a Systems Administrator 3 are...

  • 6 Years with Bachelors; 4 Years with Masters; or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Configure, administer and maintain computer systems (Such as: Windows 7, Windows 10, Server 2008 R2, Server 2012R2, Server 2016, Active Directory, RedHat Enterprise Linux)
  • Active TS/SCI access
  • Adjudicated Polygraph (within 10 years)
  • Current Security+CE Certification or ability to obtain Security+CE Certification prior to start date (DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification; IAT Level II).
BQs for a Systems Administrator 4 are...
  • 10 Years with Bachelors; 8 Years with Masters; or 14 years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Configure, administer and maintain computer systems (Such as: Windows 7, Windows 10, Server 2008 R2, Server 2012R2, Server 2016, Active Directory, RedHat Enterprise Linux)
  • Active TS/SCI access
  • Adjudicated Polygraph (within 10 years)
  • Current Security+CE Certification or ability to obtain Security+CE Certification prior to start date (DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification; IAT Level II).

Preferred Qualifications for either a 3 or 4:
  • Active TS/SCI access with adjudicated Polygraph (within 10 years)
  • Current Security+CE Certification (DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification; IAT Level II).
  • Experience Administering and maintaining Active Directory environments and group policy
  • Experience with Administering and maintaining a Windows environment (Desktop and Server operating systems)
  • Experience in administration of secure configuration managed systems
  • Experience utilizing Secure Configuration Guidance such as DISA STIG's
  • Experience with supporting operational systems
