The selected candidate will provide support for all system test activities, to include test planning, creation of required test procedures, post test data analysis, creation of problem reports, and reporting on test results.
What You'll Get To Do:
Participate in internal and customer training feature definition analysis and any test planning working groups.
Translate training feature definition, training simulation requirements, and instructor control features into test objectives, success criteria, and required resources for system level tests and demonstrations.
Develop and write test points and test sequences, detailed test plans, and test reports.
Support the development of test readiness reviews (TRRs) and test data.
Execute testing on training devices in a laboratory environment per the detailed test plans; manage and prioritize problems/failures/deviations.
Document test results and prepare test status documentation.
Compile data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, or new test points.
Coordinate detailed test plans and test reports with training courseware teams to support training effectiveness assessments.
Collaborate with systems engineers, suppliers, lab operations, software development engineers and other stakeholders involved in the testing process.
Determine and coordinate regression test plan in accordance with final released software deliveries on training devices
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at a System Test Engineer (Level 2) OR Principal System Test Engineer (Level 3) level based on the qualifications below.
System Test Engineer (Level 2)
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 2 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related professional/military experience.
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation
Must have ability to obtain and maintain program access (SAP/SAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs, prior to the commencement of employment.
Demonstrated experience in in test program execution. (I.e. developing test procedures, implementing technical edits and successfully executing test protocols, etc.)
Demonstrated experience with one or more of the following: aircraft systems, systems integration, training systems.
Principal System Test Engineer (Level 3)
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related professional/military experience.
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation
Must have ability to obtain and maintain program access (SAP/SAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs, prior to the commencement of employment.
Demonstrated experience in in test program execution. (I.e. developing test procedures, implementing technical edits and successfully executing test protocols, etc.)
Demonstrated experience with one or more of the following: aircraft systems, systems integration, training systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Communications Systems, Missions Systems, or Weapons Systems.
Hands-on experience with integrating software release bundles with simulated training environments
Experience reviewing hardware designs and feature definition to evaluate testability
Experience utilizing Atlassian Tools (i.e. JIRA, Confluence, Fisheye Crucible) for program increment team planning, test planning documentation and reviews, and test execution and coordination
Experience integrating COTS, GOTS and custom software in a security constrained environment
Experience with direct customer engagement

Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00Salary Range 2: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
