Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Systems Engineering Requirement and Verification 5 (Lead) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.

Northrop Grumman is working on the future in aircraft systems. We are seeking a senior system engineer with proven leadership abilities and experience on large aerospace development programs. The job offers a system level perspective of the operation, design, and support of advanced aircraft systems. Responsibilities will include leading the planning, execution, and tracking of requirement verification and system sell off within the Systems Engineering IPT. The successful candidate will help define the processes and tools to be used by the Systems Engineering Team and within the IPTs. The successful candidate will be experienced working with other IPTs to execute a consistent and robust systems engineering effort. The successful candidate will lead a team of systems engineers through the definition and execution of verification activities.

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Basic Requirements :

* Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 14+ years of System engineering experience OR
* A Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 12+ years of System engineering experience OR
* A PhD in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9+ years of System engineering experience
* 12+ years' experience writing, allocating, decomposing, and verifying requirements
* 12+ years' experience planning and executing requirement verification and system sell off
* 12+ years' experience with the DOORS requirement tool is required.
* An active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation in the last 5 years is required
* Ability to obtain a SAP/SAR clearance is required
Preferred Requirements:
* Ability to work tasks in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment is preferred
* Experience in the military aerospace development environment is preferred
* Demonstrated ability to develop and present technical material to senior management and customers is preferred.
* Strong people, organizational, presentation, and communication skills is preferred
