Supply Chain Subcontrct Spec 3/4

The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Global Supply Chain Compliance organization is seeking a knowledgeable Supply Chain Professional to join the Policy & Process team.

The primary responsibilities for the successful candidate will be to serve as one of a small group of Subject Matter Experts who interpret, develop, and refine procedures, work instructions, and forms; provide advice and counsel regarding the interpretation and application of company command media and regulatory requirements; and promote awareness and understanding of fundamental concepts and best practices to facilitate organizational compliance and audit readiness.

Specific roles and responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for corporate and sector level GSC procedures, work instructions, and forms
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert/POC for assigned areas (e.g. Material Authenticity, Specialty Metals, Records Retention, etc.)
  • Represent MS GSC Compliance/Interface to assigned Division GSC teams, GSC Functions, and related Sector Functions (e.g. KS&TM, Mission Assurance, Supplier Quality, Pricing & Estimating, Contracts, etc.)
  • Represent MS GSC Compliance/Interface to internal and external/Government Auditors develop and deliver GSC management response and coach others in doing so; reconcile/resolve/negotiate audit findings, facilitate the prevention of monetary penalties; keep leadership informed of findings and outcomes
  • Coordinate Audit Activity on behalf of MS GSC ensure timely response to Auditor requests and Q&A; negotiate deadlines; collect, consolidate, and track artifacts; report on volume of activity and performance
  • Facilitate process improvement - identify and fill gaps in corporate and sector level GSC Command Media; solicit, compile, and apply Stakeholder and Voice-of-the-User Feedback
  • Manage communications regarding changes to policies, procedures, and practices (e.g. prepare and maintain GSC Notices)
  • Manage MS GSC Compliance mailbox - ensure timely responses to questions and requests for assistance, review requests for deviations and waivers, compile metrics

  • Support functional self-assessment/audit readiness routine; facilitate corrective action and preventive actions
  • Support Learning & Development initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the minimal knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below.

If hired as a level 3 the basic requirements are:
  • Bachelor degree and 6+ years of work experience in supply chain, contracts, or business management; government or related experience; will also consider masters degree and 4+ years of supply chain, contracts, business management or related experience.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

If hired as a level 4, the basic requirements are:
  • Bachelor degree and 10+ years of work experience in supply chain, contracts, or business management; government or related experience; will also consider masters degree and 8+ years of in supply chain, contracts, or business management; government or related experience.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with the following will be given preferential consideration:
  • Past experience performing successfully in a buying, supply chain planning, or supply chain program management role
  • Knowledge of U.S. government and industry supply chain practices
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), time management skills, and information management skills
  • Detail oriented, strategic thinking, and analytical
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and people leadership skills; ability to leverage professional relationships
  • Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment to problem solving
  • Proven multitasking ability; resilience when faced with multiple deadlines and competing priorities
  • Expertise in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Masters Degree, or other advance degree (e.g. Law degree.)
