Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist 2

Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is looking for a Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist 2who will work with Global Supply Chain (GSC) management and other Supply Chain Subcontract Specialists (SCAs) to prepare new awards and execute awards, then manage subcontract awards to suppliers that provide sustainment support (manufacture and repair) for products delivered to Northrop Grumman. This position will be located in Rolling Meadows, IL or Warner Robins, GA.

This individual will be committed to execution of supply chain requirements in accordance with corporate and sector policies and procedures, while being proactively engaged in addressing sustainment requirements identified by the
GSC leadership and program(s) being supported.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities include the following:

  • Reviews new procurement requirements, solicits quotes and proposals, executes awards and manages all orders placed until all deliverables have been received.
  • Administers existing subcontract and long term pricing agreements with minimum supervision; Maintains, analyzes and updates electronic and hard copies; execute orders IAW negotiated pricing schedules and performance of orders IAW subcontract scope of work
  • Works with GSC leadership to identify and negotiate additions, deletions or other modifications to subcontracts
  • Engages in regular communications with suppliers; Communicates supplier status during sustainment and supply chain meetings
  • Recognizes and communicates issues with procurement requisitions and awards; collaborates with GSC leadership and/or members of the subcontracts management team; facilitates meetings with subcontractors
  • Executes quick-react requirements presented by GSC leadership in response to program requests; execution will be done in a timely manner ensuring all efforts are IAW procurement policies and procedures
  • Provides business development support to GSC leadership on NG pursuits that will result in new program awards and follow-on contracts
  • Soliciting quotes and proposals from suppliers
  • Works with GSC team to analyze supplier pricing; conducts fact-finding with suppliers throughout the quote/proposal evaluation and prime contract negotiations

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of3 years of related supply chain experience -OR- a Master's degree and a minimum of 1 year experience. May consider an additional 4 years of procurement experiencein lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrated experience working with customers and suppliers in the execution and management of procured services and support
  • Proficiency with all of the products in the MS Office Suite
  • US Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background providing supply chain management support in a manufacturing environment
  • Procurement / Administration of products or services
  • SAP and other business tools used in the execution or management of orders and agreements
