Supplier Quality Engineer (4)- Baltimore, MD
Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer 4 located in Baltimore, MD. Position requires 25% travel.
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Assurance organization. As part of MA, you will be a member of the team responsible to support the Airborne/C4ISR Division Supplier Quality group for products and services procured by the Mission Systems Sector.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develops program assessments to determine supplier quality risk, as well as effective and affordable risk mitigation approaches.
Responsible for planning and implementing Quality Assurance actions for Electrical/Mechanical, PWB/CCA, RF/Microwave, Cable and Connector suppliers.
Develops, collects, analyzes and presents supplier metrics to support the division Supplier Quality, Mission Assurance and Global Supply Chain teams.
Other activities may include (but not limited to):
Production Readiness Reviews, quarterly division and sector supplier reviews
Supplier Quality support quoting and cost tracking, and evaluation of supplier capacity
Collaboration with programs and suppliers on Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA)
Engaging with program capture teams to shape sourcing strategies based on supplier quality risk factors.
This position will require occasional in state and out of state travel.
Bachelor's Degree in related Quality or Engineering discipline.
Nine (9) years of experience working as a Quality Engineer.
Experience developing, collecting, and analyzing metrics.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with measurement analysis methods.
Experience in drawing interpretation to ANSI Y14.5.
Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
Master's Degree in related Quality or Business discipline
Experience with specifications/standards including MIL-STD-883and IPC-610/J-STD-001.
RF/Electrical background a plus
SAP Business System experience
Supplier Assessment Management System (SAMS) experience
Sentinel Alert Management System experience
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification
Experience with capacity analysis tools helpful
Experience working in the aerospace environment.
