Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer 3/4 to join our team in San Diego, California.
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Assurance organization. As part of MA, you will be a member of the team responsible for defining and monitoring specifications and processes to ensure mission success of your programs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all Mission Assurance related contractual requirements, division policies and procedures, while contributing to the projects' process implementation and process effectiveness.
The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to perform: internal and external process audits, systems/software/ hardware life cycle quality engineering activities, participation in the peer review of systems/software development and test, participating in stress testing for client and server software/hardware inspections, hardware/software configuration verification, maintenance and status of request for actions and corrective and preventive action databases, conduct

independent risk assessments, perform risk management, review/inspect and sign off on deliverables, identify and implement process improvements, and maintain assurance of contract and policy requirements.
Demonstrate excellent decision making capabilities, problem solving ability, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work closely and effectively with project personnel.
Plans, organizes, directs and reports on all supplier quality-related activities such as raw materials, packaging materials, good manufacturing practices (GMP) service providers, as well as contract manufacturers, and/or contract manufacturing
and laboratories to assure fulfillment of contract/purchase order requirements.
Monitors quality control activities and systems at supplier and subcontractor facilities, and maintains feedback loops.

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.
Basic Qualifications for Level 3.:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
5 years of related work experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance with Special Program Access.
Preferred Qualifications for Level 3:
Excellent verbal and oral communication skills.
Possess high degree of presentation skills which will help them in dealing with the supplier.
Well equipped with statistical knowledge, so that they can make different quality improvements plans based on facts and not hypothetical data.
Able to work in a timely fashion to avoid losses and delays in the supply chain.
Able to process and analyze data quickly identify areas of improvement opportunities in the supply chain.
Able to communicate plans in accordance with the supplier's contract without hampering quality.
Able to conduct "Supplier surveillance/audits", reporting and presenting results.
Prior work experience communicating regularly with other departments like engineering, production, quality and the supply chain team.
Prior work experience working with suppliers to improve quality and productivity.
Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and AS9102 First Article experience.
Understanding of root cause, corrective and preventative actions processes.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related a technical discipline.
9 years of related work experience.

Additional Preferred Qualifications for Level 3 and 4:
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of related experience.
Prior Contract Manufacturing (CM) experience.
Knowledge of Print Wiring Board (PWB) and Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) specifications and processes.
Experience with Digital Product Definition Data Practices (ASME Y14.41-2012).
SAP (MRP) experience.
Possess current DoD Secret Clearance with Special Program Access.
