Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems Sector (NGAS) is currently seeking a Food Services Supervisor to join our team in Azusa, CA!
Candidate will supervise Bargaining Unit employees who plan, prepare and serve employees and guests in on-campus Cafeteria and campus catering. Insures compliance to Health Department Regulations with refresher training mandatory. Provides quality food at minimum cost to employees with the intent of zero cost to the Company. Responsible for daily operations of a team or work unit including direct supervision of the staff, assignment of work duties, schedules, day to day workflow, and operating costs. Will provide cost accounting reports to management. Will work directly with Chef in the ordering of food and related supplies. Responsible for continuous process improvement, as well as participation in safety committee and inspection teams. Additional duties may be assigned commensurate with business need.

Selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree and a minimum of 3 years recent experience managing a restaurant, cafeteria or other food service entity OR a High School Diploma/G.E.D. and a minimum of 7 years recent experience managing a restaurant, cafeteria or other food service entity.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certificate
  • Some formal culinary training
  • Computer literate in Microsoft office and basic computer use with the ability to learnMeeting Room Manager software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Administration, Food Services or related discipline
  • Valid Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certificate
  • Completion of culinary school.
