Structural Analyst: Aerospace, Mechanical, Civil or equivalent with knowledge and experience of static and dynamic structural analysis. Tasks include design of structural components, finite element modeling for both stress and dynamic analysis of aerospace structures, and shock and vibration assessments of aerospace structures. Applicant must have a complete understanding of and wide application of technical principles and be able to provide solutions to complex difficult problems. Position requires preparation and presentation of reports, briefings, and interface with internal and external customers. Provide technical support to internal and cross-sector proposal efforts. Perform test planning, test support, and technical analysis of test data. Perform cooperatively as a team member. This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
- Programming skills in EXCEL, MATLAB, or equivalent
- Minimum education/experience: BS, 5 years; MS 3 years; and PhD, 0 years
- Ability to obtain U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
- This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or level 4
- Proficiency in numerical tools such as ABAQUS and NASTRAN
- Code development skills including FORTRAN, C, MATLAB and Python.
- Active secret clearance.
