Northrop Grumman is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer/Principal Structural Analysis Engineer to perform static, dynamic, and DaDT structural analyses of metallic and composite airframe structure, mechanical systems, and equipment, by hand and by using the automated methods and procedures approved for the program. Ensure that designs meet program requirements and are the lightest, lowest cost, and highest quality products consistent with schedule and budget objectives. The analyst may also be expected to derive non-flight applied loads, create, extract and distribute internal loads, and perform weight and stiffness optimization. Tools utilized may include FEMAP, NX, Teamcenter and other software applications. This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below. This requisition may be filled at either a Structural Analysis Engineer level or Principal Structural Analysis Engineer. Basic Qualifications: The basic qualifications for a Structural Analysis Engineer is a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 2 years experience in Aerospace Structural Analysis or Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and some experience in Aerospace Structural Analysis. The basic qualifications for a Principal Structural Analysis Engineer is a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 5 years experience in Aerospace Structural Analysis or Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 3 years experience in Aerospace Structural Analysis. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret or Top Secret Clearance as well as Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs. Preferred Qualifications: Airframe experience with Advanced Composite Materials is Preferred.
