What you'll get to do:
As a Staff Systems Engineer on this team, you will lead a team of ground systems and I&T engineers to integrate, test and deploy a Ground Segment. You will develop, plan, and execute Acceptance Test plans, as well as Pre-Ship Audits (PSA) and Pre-Ship Reviews (PSR). In this role, you will be interacting with the customer and leadership to define and maintain the technical baseline. Ultimately, it is your responsibility to drive the program through maturity and milestones to achieve the mission, ensuring that everything is synchronized. You will be a jack of all trades and a master of a few.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- 14 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline; 12 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 9 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance or SCI; ability to obtain SAP clearance
- Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and processes
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and analytic skills
- Works well in a team environment
- Must be willing and able to travel 25%
- Experience with Agile development
- Effectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers and customers
- Direct experience using the DOORS Requirements Management Database
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML) and concepts
- Excellent technical writing and team building skills
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide a systems engineering team
