Staff Linux Sys Administrator
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Cyber Systems Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located at Annapolis Junction.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Systems Administrator provides support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems; manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems; provides support to IT systems including: day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client problems; provides second level problem identification, diagnosis and resolutions of problems; provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process; provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers; and possesses experience in one or more systems and architectures and associated hardware: mainframe, mini, or client/server based
15 years of experience + relevant B.S. (Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college) or 20 years + no degree
Strong Linux SA skills (i.e., ability to design, plan, install, and configure RHEL in a cloud or virtual environment
Experience using the typical Linux toolbox of open source software and management tools
Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware
Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
Active TS/SCI w/Polygraph
Understanding of IP networking, VPN, DNS, load balancing and firewalls
Experience with Puppet, NiFi, CASPORT, Python, or bash
Ability to work independently
