Staff Engr Sys Architect

Position Summary and Responsibilities:
Responsible for system architectures and requirements, sub-system flow-downs, algorithms, signal processing, and performance evaluation for radar applications.
Interface and collaborate with various cross-functional teams (EE, ME, M&S, Aero, GNC) to jointly identify and define capabilities and performance requirements for radar systems. Ensures requirements are met and evaluates performance.
Defines design and technology maturity constraints of the system in accordance with system specifications.
Defines system implementation approach and operational concept.
Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts.
Work on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.
Serves as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs. Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.
Lead technical white papers, engineering proposals, trade analyses and internal research and development efforts.

Basic Qualifications:
DoD Secret Security Clearance
Demonstrated experience as both a technical leader and individual contributor for radar systems in military applications
Strong team collaboration, communication and presentation skills
Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Physics from an accredited university. Bachelor's degree with 14 years experience, Master's degree in Engineering with 12 years experience, or a PhD in Engineering with 9 years of experience.
Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to organize/prioritize job assignments and tasks.
Ability to express complex technical topics in accurate and relevant terms for a variety of audiences (technical and non-technical)

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD
Experience working through the full lifecycle phases of radar system requirements definition, design, development, and testing.
Experience in developing new programs and generating proposal responses for Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quote/Proposal (RFQ/RFP)
Experience with the following areas:
o Radar system performance analysis
o Radar system signal processing
o Radar subsystem integration and testing
o Analysis of requirements and performance testing
o Radar operation and field test support
o Radar data collection and analysis
