The Supply Chain Program Planner (SCPP) will provide support in order to ensure the Supply Chain Management requirements are being addressed. The desired candidate must understand the all aspects of Supply Chain Management - materials management, procurement, subcontracts, material cost budgets and supplier quality in order to support engineering, production, logistics and the program management teams in the performance of their roles and responsibilities. The Supply Chain requirements are identified either during the proposal phase or in the program execution. In this role, the Supply Chain Planner will work with the Proposal and Program Teams to evaluate material and equipment requirements throughout the life of a program. In the proposal phase the SCPP will work with the Subcontract Administrators and buyers to track performance against the Bid and Proposal schedule of activities, support the source evaluation and selection process of suppliers during the pricing of all material and subcontract requirements, prepare proposal pricing inputs and support the team in the development of supplier capabilities and risk profiles, presentations and various reports. During the execution of a program, the Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for working with members of the entire supply chain management team (to include commodity management and procurement) to monitor and provide status of material needed to support manufacturing. Additionally procurement and subcontract activities are monitored in order to report on the cost, schedule and quality performance of the supply chain for the program. The SCPP may be responsible for the oversight of supply chain activities being performed on multiple programs, including development programs requiring an understanding of engineering concepts.
