Sr. Principal Reliability Engineer

The Operations Support Reliability Engineering team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Principal Reliability Engineer based out of Salt Lake City, UT.

What You'll get to Do:

Product Line Support:
? Monitor System Test Yields
? Work with Systems Engineering on Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA) as well as Improvement initiatives
? Run Systems Failure Review Boards and monthly report-out meetings with factory management

Overhaul & Repair Support:
? Contract reporting of field failures
? Review of systems for appropriate field failure disposition and rework
? Monitor for trends and initiate RCCA Investigation as appropriate

Special Product Line Support:
? FRACAS
? Support of Manufacturing Stop Orders to drive resolution and understand impact to product reliability
? White Papers
? Risk/Reliability Assessments or Analysis
? Support Material Review Board (MRB) Dispositions
? Analyze Field Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)

Advisor for:
? Statistical Analysis and appropriate sample sizes
? Life testing
? Design of Experiments

MANUMS

Basic Qualifications:

BS in Engineering or STEM related field with 9 years experience; MS in Engineering or STEM related field with 7 years experience
Experience in reliability field
Experience with data mining, analysis, and presentation
Experience with statistical analysis
Must work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

MS in engineering or STEM-related field
Experience in defense or related industry
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience applying statistical analysis to real problems
Knowledge of SQL or other query tools
Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools
Six Sigma Green Belt
