Sr Principal Engr Sys Test
Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Principle Engineer Systems Test to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
The Principle Systems Test Engineer (STE) conducts Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) on the HALE production aircraft systems, utilizing applicable test equipment and documentation. Troubleshoots failed steps and anomalies, using mechanical and electrical schematics, test equipment, and other resources.
This position requires technical knowledge of Global Hawk, ROK and Triton aircraft systems, sub-systems, specialized test equipment, and requires continuing interaction with responsible engineers and other engineering disciplines. Candidate needs to have a broad understanding of HALE operations, implementation and testing of sub-systems.
Candidate must be self-motivated, with the ability to work independently of other system experts, by developing technical knowledge of various systems, sub-systems, and specialized test equipment.
The ability to effectively interact with interdisciplinary and intra-company teams of engineers. Short duration travel to company or customer locations may be required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline, plus9 years of engineering experience OR MS degree in STEM plus7 years
- Current active DoD Top Secret security clearance required to start
- Must be able to support the conduct of tests plane-side, both indoors and outdoors.
Over 2 years of Global Hawk / ROK / Triton Production System Test Experience.
