We are currently seeking a Sr. Principal Configuration/Systems Engineer on our NASA Programs Configuration Management Office (CMO) team at our Promontory, Utah offices. Role Description & Responsibilities: The Configuration/Systems Engineer is responsible for documenting and improving the methods, tools and processes used to establish and control requirements baselines for multiple NASA Programs. The Configuration/Systems Engineer accordingly completes and/or leads a cross-functional team in completing CM assignments. The Configuration/Systems Engineer functionally reports to the NASA Programs Office, and represents NASA Programs' interests in pursuing program-wide and/or division-wide CM-related initiatives. Job Duties: - Prepares and maintains program plansExperience Requirements: - Candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience related to design, manufacture, procurement, inspection, test and/or project management of technical products - Ability to travel: Travel expectation is approx. 10% - 15% Experience Preferred: - CM experience during all phases of a program is preferred - CM experience in the aerospace, or a similarly complex/critical, industry is strongly preferred Education/Certifications - BS degree in Science or Engineering or a related technical field is required - CMII basic (or similar) certification is preferred Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
