Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) seeks to fill the position of Sr. Principal Computer Systems Architect in the Engineering & Sciences function with an individual with experience computer programming/scripting, system
administration, and computing systems integration. The position will require technical knowledge of managing and performing administration of a DOORS implementation. General duties for a Computer Systems Architect in addition to
the above include designs and defines system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems. Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and
maintenance of system security. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day
Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 9 years of related experience; or MS and 7 years; or PhD and 4 years. Additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree. Experience to be in an IT or Product Engineering environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
- Experience performing systems administration of a large DOORS implementation
- Experience with tools and applications related to management of requirements.
- Familiar with UNIX or Linux operating systems.
- Familiar with IBM Rational application suite

Preferred Qualifications:

- BS in a STEM degree, Computer Science or Engineering discipline.
- Experience with the GMD
- Experience with MDA
