Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located at Laurel, MD.
The ideal candidate will be a Java Developer that is interested in managing services that are operational in a PaaS environment. This person will need to understand Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows and Solaris. The candidate will be working on a task where the goal is to develop an operating environment where system administrators can leverage the service to administer their systems. This solution uses kubernetes running in either a VM or metal environments that requires state-of-the-art skills in emerging areas of containerization, networking, and software development. This task will also provide engineering, integration, testing and system administration Level of Effort (LOE) support to the software baseline and integration of the service across the customer base.
Shall have at least nine (9) years experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
Shall have demonstrated experience working with OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such asuch as Hbase, CloudBase/Acumulo, Big Table, etc.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related STEM discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional software engineering/development experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
