Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Software Engineer 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale.

Essential Functions:

Analyze requirements allocated to computer software configuration items (CSCI), design and develop software with minimal supervision and who has experience with the full software development life cycle. Job emphasis will be development, maintenance and execution of automated software tests for qualification of embedded software products, with opportunities for model and simulation code development.

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable in a lab environment and be able to collaborate closely with other team engineers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of software engineering experience OR Master's Degree in STEM and 7 years of software engineering experience.
  • Experience developing software / writing code in Java, C , C# or Python
  • Must have an active in-scope DoD Top Secret clearance
  • The ability to obtain program access

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in STEM
  • Experience in modeling and simulation in a laboratory environment..
