Software Quality Analyst 2/3

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector's Missile Defense and Protective Systems Operating Unit is searching for an experienced Software Quality Analyst to become part of Northrop Grumman Mission/Quality Assurance organization.

Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures
Ensure processes and products conform to established company and regulatory standards
Review, analyze and report on quality discrepancies to include corrective actions for recurring discrepancies
Coordinate and deliver documentation to the customer and other external organizations
Maintain schedule of document deliveries and updates required
Maintain storage of deliverables, internal project documents, and documents of external origin
Participate in Peer Reviews and Product Reviews as a principal team member to ensure 1st time quality and compliance to program and company requirements
Participate in contractual reviews and audits, program/IPT meetings, and configuration control board meetings.
Perform product and process audits of the engineering and management products and processes to assure compliance to established policies, procedures, work instructions, contractual requirements and program specific plans
Witness execution of software verification tests to ensure tests are executed in accordance with approved test procedures, requirements are fully verified, and that all test procedure and software anomalies are documented and tracked to closure
Support configuration management activities as needed

MAQEA
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) or related field of study. An additional 4+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement.
Ability to draft, edit, and proofread technical documents
Ability to work multiple projects/programs in parallel
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Fast learner, especially in Microsoft Office products, visual basic and technical processes
Ability to determine and implement improvements to existing processes
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical messages clearly to all levels of leadership
Self-starter who can work independently as well as in teams and/or small groups
Candidate must possess or be willing to apply for Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products: Power Point, Outlook, Word, Access and Excel
Familiarity with Visual Basic for Applications to link and automate tasks using Microsoft Office products
Experience with and understanding of software development tools, databases, and/or scripting languages
Experience with change management on DoD programs
Experience/knowledge of DOORS, and APEX
Experience/knowledge of designing and creating custom databases
Experience/knowledge of UNIX and/or Linux operating system
Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
Familiarity with Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) and AS9100 processes and requirements
