What You'll get to Do:
We are seeking an experienced software developer or software engineer who is familiar with developing applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS), C2S, or similar cloud environments who has an active TS/SCI clearance to support our Aurora, CO location.
Our team works on unique operationally deployed systems to both develop new capabilities and maintain operational systems. We are seeking a software developer or engineer who wants to work on a small team in a tailored agile environment to design, develop, document, test, administer, manage, upgrade, monitor, debug, and operationally support systems that provide national security related mission value. Because communication is so important for team success, candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Of the 15 to 20 people (including system administrators, systems engineers, project mgmt., and test) on this team, 10 to 14 staff are software engineers. The new developer will receive on-the-job training and mentoring by senior experienced developers to effectively integrate and begin adding value quickly.
Our team supports three operational systems and our software is currently written in a myriad of languages (including C, C++, Java, and Python) running in Linux based virtualized and cloud environments. We want to add developers to the team who can help with our on-going cloud migration while improving our application performance, user friendliness, and maintainability.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
• For a Software Engineer: Bachelor ' s degree in Computer Science or other STEM related degree with 1 year of software development experience
• Experience developing software using JAVA and C++
• Experience developing software for and on cloud environments (e.g. AWS, C2S)
• Active Top Secret with SCI
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
• Experience working in teams to develop SW and troubleshoot SW to find/fix defects
• Experience in the development of User Interface, process control, algorithms, and/or relational database management applications
• Experience developing on Linux RHEL 7.x and/or 8.x
• Experience with REST services
• Experience developing software using Python
• Experience writing scripts (e.g. in Perl)
• Experience with Configuration Management (e.g. Git)
• Experience developing software in virtualized Linux environments
• Active Security+ certification
• Active certifications in AWS or similar environments
• Knowledge of satellite ground system concepts
