Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems located in Redondo Beach, CA has an opening for a Software Engineer 4. The selected candidate will perform software process activities in support of F-35 program.
Essential Functions:

* Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle activities and the Agile process for all the F-35 Software Domains.
* Deployment of software engineering tools.
* Perform software configuration management control.
* Support and provide data for software metrics.
* Support and document F-35 software processes per F-35 SDP
* Participate in tiger team for formal flight test activities on all NGC Mission Systems software releases.

Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9+ years of software engineering experience OR Master's Degree in STEM and 7+ years of software engineering experience; OR 4+ years of software engineering experience with a STEM PhD.
* Working knowledge of F-35 software product and process development for the full software lifecycle.
* Knowledge of F-35 software configuration management tools and processes
* Knowledge of processes for receiving customer product data (CMM, Middleware, and JADE)
* Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and recent experience as a "Change Agent", driving continuous improvement with compliance to regulations
* Current active Secret DoD Clearance and ability to obtain and maintain F-35 special program access.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience of software product engineering within an ISO 9001 (or equivalent) certificated environment
* Solid knowledge and working experience with organizational-level software engineering process and procedures
* Demonstrated experience tailoring or improving organizational policies to improve program efficiency
* Solid job experience in performing software engineering process improvements on Waterfall and Agile projects
* Current F-35 special program access
