Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Java Software Engineer 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located at Columbia, MD.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The project is in need of a Software Engineer to support development, integration, deployment, and operations for a customer three-tier data analytic system.

Basic Qualifications:
6+ years Software Engineering experience
Experience with Java
Experience with multi-threaded applications
Experience with Linux
Experience with Apache Kafka
Experience with MD Customer
Experience with MD Customer systems integration
Experience with MD Customer systems operational support

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Security Clearance: Must be US Citizen able to pass an extensive security clearance investigation with Polygraph. Active TS/SCI w/Poly is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, OpenStack)
Experience with Elasticsearch, MongoDB, and/or Redis
Experience with Docker
Experience with Kubernetes
Experience with Golang
Experience with Software Configuration Management (e.g., Puppet, Ansible)
