Software Engineer 3 - Experienced (3-10 years) Pipeline - TS Clearance

Responsibilities for this Pipeline requisition are:

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector has a need for an SCI cleared Software Engineer to join our diverse team, developing, maintaining, and fixing C software in Redondo Beach, CA.

We have an immediate need for a SCI cleared SW developer in their Simulation/Orbit Determination software ground subsystem. Successful candidate will participate in SW design, maintenance, and testing of the subsystem and fix SW Discrepancy Reports (DRs). Candidate will provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

5 Years of Engineering experience with Bachelors in Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; 3 Years with Masters; 0 years with PhD

Candidate must be an experienced SW developer with experience in C in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment

Must have experience in software development deliverables and processes

Complete tasking with minimal supervision; independent self-starter

Strong diagnostic/problem solving skills

Top Secret clearance required

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements, streamline activities, and develop efficiencies

Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and analytic skills

Works well in a team environment

Previous in-depth domain knowledge of program software design and code preferred

Knowledge of Fortran and Orbit Determination tools is a plus

SCI Clearance preferred.
